Merhaba (Hello) and welcome to the home page for the Fulbright-Hays Faculty Professional Development Seminar in Turkey Project. Under the Fulbright-Hays Group Projects Abroad program of the US Department of Education, Tyler Junior College sponsored a five week faculty professional development seminar in Turkey during the summer of 1998,1999 and 2001. The projects were directed by Dr. Manoucher Khosrowshahi of Tyler Junior College. Middle East Technical University (Orta Dogu Teknik Üniversitesi) was the host institution in Turkey. The purposes of the seminars are to enhance professional competence of individual teachers, to enrich the curriculum in the social studies and humanities, and to develop a well-rounded program in Turkish studies, Middle East studies or global education.
