This course will focus on Thailand's politics, society and culture. Because of its
richness in arts, culture and civilization, Thailand is one of the most attractive
countries in Southeast Asia to visit and study. Through the lectures, slide shows, and
video presentations, students will learn about Thailand's art, architecture, historical
sites, geography, people, culture, customs and traditions, music, family and marriage,
economy, government and politics.
Furthermore, othertopics such as meditation, elephant training, Thai massage, sex industry, opium trade in the Golden Triangle, do's and taboos, etc. will be covered during the course of study.
