Application for Middle East Studies Association Conference Travel Award

 The Middle East Outreach Council (MEOC) is delighted to announce the availability of a limited number of $500 travel awards for the purpose of assisting MEOC members attend the annual conference of the Middle East Studies Association (MESA) and the MEOC teacher workshop and business meeting on November 22-25, in Washington, DC. The MEOC workshop and meeting will be on Saturday November 22.  Workshop participants will be given free registration for the MESA conference on Sunday with a program that includes panels on youth literature and teaching with film, conference exhibits, and film showings.  This award may only be received one time.

 Eligibility and Requirements:  An applicant must be a member of the Middle East Outreach Council and involved with teaching and/or outreach about the Middle East at any level. As a minimum, the participant must attend the MEOC workshop and business meeting on Saturday, November 22. Preference will be for applicants who plan to attend the MESA conference on Sunday and other days of the conference.
